1. Purpose of Personal Information Collection and Use
naro is a service that helps users with personal reflection and journaling, collecting minimal information for the following purposes:
1.1 Required Information
- Apple ID (when using iCloud sync)
- Purpose: Cross-device data synchronization
- Storage: Apple iCloud servers (encrypted storage)
- Legal Basis: User consent
1.2 Optional Information
- AI Chat API Key (choose from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or Groq)
- Purpose: AI conversation functionality
- Storage: Device Keychain (encrypted storage)
- Third-party Sharing: Sent to user-selected AI service provider
- Legal Basis: User consent
- Note: AI Comment feature is available without API key (provided by naro)
- AI Consent State
- Items: AI comment consent status, AI chat data-transfer consent status
- Purpose: consent-based feature control and reduced repeated prompts
- Storage: on-device UserDefaults
- Legal Basis: User consent
2. Categories of Information Collected
2.1 Automatically Collected Information
- Service Usage Logs: Visit timestamps, records generated during service usage
- Device Information: Device type, OS version, model name
- Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymized usage statistics to improve app stability and usability.
- Collected Items: App launch count, feature usage frequency, session duration, etc.
- Non-identifiable: Does not contain personally identifiable information (Name, Email, etc.)

- Journal/Record Data
- Answer text to questions
- Free-form entries
- Creation date and time
- Storage: Device CoreData (local storage) and iCloud (user's choice)
- When generating AI comments: Temporarily sent to Groq API via naro proxy server (not stored)
